    Ports 2010 Student Paper and Poster Contests - Undergraduate full papers are due February 1, 2010.

    The undergraduate paper contest requires presentation of a conference formatted paper at the symposium slated for April 25. Authors of the 10 highest rated papers will be invited to make oral presentations. The conference will also include a student poster session open to both undergraduate and graduate students.     Ports 2010 Gala to Feature Noted Futurist and Aeronautical Engineer

    Jack Bacon, Ph.D., P.E., a noted futurist and technological historian, as well as an aeronautical enginer, will be addressing topics concerning technology and the factors that shape human society while attendees enjoy a tantalizing meal in the Crown Royal Touchdown Club. Dr. Bacon has often been called "A New Carl Sagan." He is one of the most requested speakers in the world for topics concerning technology and the factors that shape human society. The evening gala at the Jacksonville Jaguars Stadium is included in the conference registration cost. Additional tickets are available to attendees’ guests for $170 and to non-registrants for $200.

The local organizing committee for ICCE 2010 has issued its call for papers. Abstracts, comprised of a two-page paper summary, are due by Oct. 1, 2009. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by January 15, 2010.
